Steelpaint provides a perfect corrosion protection whereby the high Zinc content (highest in the market) acts as an anode. Steelpaint is also very resistant to and protects against mechanical damage. Proven by Bulk carriers in field testing over years where the steelpaint was used to protect the cargo holds and in specific the tank tops. This project proved further the advantages of SteelPaint – very fast curing, no restriction on humidity during application. The surface was washed leaving mild ginger rust which is very acceptable for SteelPaint. Blasting continued in the night shift with no hold ups recorded to weather, inspection or surface preparation concerns. The Video included is from a similar project in Portugal recently!
